Frontline and Summer Staff Training

Preparing Your Staff to Change the World

The TQAMP team is excited for another full year of traveling coast to coast, participating via live online options, and offering recorded trainings- any opportunity to share space with your frontline camp staff and community!  This year we are expanding our training options to include additional joyful and impactful

Why choose frontline training with us? You are working hard to build spaces of belonging at your camp. For frontline staff, that can be a difficult place to exist if you don’t feel included. We’ll help your staff better connect with leadership, with their peers, and with the young people in their care- all in the absence of shame.

We do this by constructing an environment with the following group agreements:

  • Correction is a revolutionary act of love.

  • Take care of yourself. Be uncomfortable, not unsafe.

  • We seek to educate with curiosity and joy and reject shame as a change tactic.

  • Be curious about your judgments, not bound by them.

  • We ask that folks be mindful of their proximity to the subject matter.

  • This session is specifically designed for folks who are new to the topic of 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and need space to really dig into the basics- in a non-judgmental environment.

Pricing

To increase camps’ access to support and reduce barriers to resources, we have adopted a tiered pricing model. We will determine which tier applies to your camp or organization with you based on your budget, staff size and organizational structure. If the lowest cost tier is still higher than your resources allow, we can discuss ways to make support accessible to you and your staff.

A few notes on training costs:

  • In-person and Virtual live trainings are priced per trainer as either Half-day (up to 4 hours, $1500-$4000) or Full day (4-7 hours, $3000-$7500)

  • In-person trainings are a flat rate per trainer based on duration PLUS travel, lodging and per diem expenses. One day of travel: air fare, rental car, per diem food, lodging= $800-$1000. If you provide lodging, transportation or meals while we are with you, this will reduce travel cost.

  • We also have “agency” or association pricing which applies to organizations with affiliates or member camps.

Our 2nd Tier pricing reflects our “break-even” rate–or the actual cost of our work (to cover salaries and benefits, general operating expenses). We launched as a 501c3 so that we can offer reduced-fee services made possible by grants. Higher pricing tiers also make it possible for us to offer services below our break-even rate. Over time, we hope to offer a broader range of pricing options and free services.
