FAQs for TQAMP’s Transition

  • Great question! When deciding to launch independently, we wanted a name that referenced camp and centered the experiences of Trans* and Queer folks. Depending on who you are and what you need, TQAMP could mean: Trans* and Queer A (Affinity, Advising, Affirmation) M (Mentorship, Management, Mission, Movement), P (Project, Plan, Program). As a team, we are excited about starting with a name that, at its core, is both grounded and full of possibility.

  • We’ll continue to deliver the same services and nothing will change about our current contracts or the work we’re doing together. We are bringing SO much excitement for this new phase into our meetings and hope it’s contagious!

  • We will keep providing the same services…AND MORE! This transition will allow us to expand our support for camps and youth-serving organizations, provide reduced-fee services and reduce barriers to accessing services across the board.

  • Keep prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of queer and trans staff and campers. AND join our mailing list and stay tuned for ways to donate, what we’re up to, and general news about TQAMP.
